Hello
I'm Beverly.

I believe that mentoring is about growing the other person holistically, which means academics and career advice, but also practical recommendations and concrete goals.

(Like learning to tie your shoes!)
My Story
The first time I mentored someone was in high school, but I didn't realize it at the time! Helping people by asking questions and encouraging them to think is as natural to me as breathing, but it took until I was an undergraduate at MIT to realize that this was paired with an ability to write that my (exceptional!) peers sometimes lacked. As I helped my friends apply to jobs and graduate school, I realized practical, timely advice was one of my skills. The rest, as they say, is history.

If you'd like to see all my degrees and experiences, you can look through my LinkedIn profile: it will give you a full rundown! I'd be happy to connect.
